About this check

The Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) was developed by Ferris and Wynne (2001) as part of the Canadian Problem Gambling Index and is the standard population screening tool used by Australian gambling support services and government health departments. It asks about experiences over the past 12 months and is designed for self-reflection, not diagnosis.

If anything in this check resonated with you, you are not alone -- many people experience gambling harm, and reaching out early makes a real difference. A good next step is a free, confidential conversation with a counsellor at Gambling Help Online (opens in new tab) on 1800 858 858, any time of day or night.
